Apple delivering Safari to users of QuickTime and iTunes
Apple has just launched their Safari 3.1 web browser edition. It has been made available on both Mac and Windows OS.
For some unknown reason, Apple has decided to deliver Safari through their Apple Software Update application.
This is being delivered to users of Apple iTunes or Apple QuickTime who have not even installed Safari in the first place!
A company statement is displayed in the update window: “Safari for Windows is the fastest and easiest-to-use web browser for the PC. It displays web pages faster than any other browser and is filled with innovative features — all delivered in an efficient and elegant user interface.”
Market analysts believe that this move has been devised by Apple to enhance their market share on Windows OS in competition to both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
