Apple enables Time Machine backups on AirPort Extreme
Apple has now fixed an issue in their Leopard operating system which prevented Time Machine backups on AirPort Extreme.
The latest patches issued by the company now enable Mac owners to use disks attached to the AirPort Extreme as a Time Machine-compatible backup drive.
Apple did not specifically mention this feature addition in the release notes but several users have confirmed the fixes.
Leopard’s preview editions had this flexibility though the feature turned out to be missing from the shipped copy of the OS.
