ScreenSteps 2.0.3 Adds Export to Blog Support

Blue Mango Learning Systems has released version 2.0.3 of their ScreenSteps software. This latest version includes an “Export to Blog” feature which allows users to quickly insert step-by-step software tutorials into blogs, wikis or any other website. ScreenSteps allows for the rapid creation of step by step guides on how to do anything on a computer. The user can then annotate images, add text and output the lessons to HTML, PDF or ScreenSteps Live.

McLean, Virginia – Blue Mango Learning Systems has released version 2.0.3 of their ScreenSteps software. This latest version includes an “Export to Blog” feature which allows users to quickly insert ScreenSteps lessons into blogs, wikis or any other website.

ScreenSteps allows for the rapid creation of step by step guides on how to do anything on a computer. Users take screenshots. ScreenSteps assembles these into a document. The user can then annotate images, add text and output the lessons to HTML, PDF or ScreenSteps Live (Blue Mango’s hosted service for ScreenSteps lessons).

The “Post to Blog” feature requires a ScreenSteps LIve account. After the user chooses “Export > Blog” the lesson is uploaded to ScreenSteps Live. The user is then given a snippet of HTML code that they can paste into a blog or any other website. Users can even customize the blog templates to meet their specific formatting needs. Users can see a lesson on how the “Post to Blog” feature works on ScreenSteps Live.

Version 2.0.3 includes several other significant enhancements including:
* Drag and drop of images onto steps
* Global screen capture key command (Mac only)
* New Lesson Palette for quickly assembling lessons into Topics (manuals created from multiple ScreenSteps lessons)

In addition, ScreenCastsOnline has prepared two screencasts showcasing the latest enhancements to ScreenSteps and ScreenSteps Live. They can be be seen at the ScreenSteps website or the ScreenCastsOnline site.

ScreenSteps is available for Mac and Windows in two versions, Standard ($39.95) and Pro ($59.95). The Pro version adds the ability to assemble multiple ScreenSteps lessons into PDF and HTML manuals. The “Export to Blog” feature requires a ScreenSteps Live account. Free plans are available. Paid plans start at $12/month.
