Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization technology could be out by August this year
Software giant Microsoft has said that they have completed most of the work on their Hyper-V virtualization technology.
They are now aiming to release it for the Windows Server 2008 on schedule in August.
Microsoft has made available the feature-complete release candidate of Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V on their website.
They had originally planned to deliver this technology along with the release of Windows Server 2008 but it got delayed.
Microsoft stated that they have now added support for some more guest operating systems in the release candidate.
It would now support Windows Server 2003 Service Pack (SP) 2, Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1, Windows Vista SP1 and Windows XP SP3.
