Adobe to develop iPhone edition of Flash
Steve Jobs might have said that Adobe Flash technology is too slow for mobile platforms, but Adobe has other plans.
The software giant wants to prove Apple wrong as they have now announced their plans to develop Flash for the iPhone platform.
Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen announced this at the Adobe’s quarterly investor conference call.
He said that Flash would be offered to iPhone users through the App Store in iTunes.
He added: “We believe Flash is synonymous with the Internet experience, and we are committed to bringing Flash to the iPhone.”We have evaluated (the Apple iPhone SDK) and we think we can develop an iPhone Flash player ourselves.”
