Microsoft working on Dynamics AX 2009

Software giant Microsoft showcased a preview edition of their newest version of its ERP application, Dynamics AX 2009, at Convergence 2008.

This event is basically a meeting place for Microsoft Dynamics users.

Microsoft stated that the new version would be launched in the market in the first half of the year.

It would be targeted at the small and midsize businesses and market analysts say that the pricing is going to be very aggressive.

The company added that this new release would feature enhanced global capabilities.

Chris Alliegro, lead analyst with Directions on Microsoft spoke about this new edition: “If you’re a Microsoft shop, it’s an interface you’re already familiar with. Having your CRM functionality visible, accessible, and built into Outlook is a huge selling point for Microsoft.”
