Microsoft fixes 12 vulnerabilities in four security bulletins
Patch Tuesday this month sees Microsoft fixing 12 vulnerabilities in their applications through four security bulletins.
The company has fixed these issues in their Microsoft Office productivity suite.
Market analyst Andrew Storms said that the newer version of Office seems to be a lot more secure compared to earlier editions.
He added: “When the support line for Office 2000 and Office 2003 drop off the board, we’re probably going to see a pretty significant reduction in Office vulnerability.”
Eric Schultze, chief technology officer of Shavlik Technologies added: “Microsoft has been doing something right. Over time, the apps are getting better and stronger. It shows a trend toward Microsoft getting better at this.”
