Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 released
Microsoft has updated their MS Office 2008 suite for the Apple Mac OS X operating system.
This update is available from the software giant’s website. Users can also update to the latest version using the Microsoft AutoUpdate application.
The company said that the update enhances the security of the suite. Microsoft added that the Office Installer no longer grants restricted users unauthorized access to Office 2008 for Mac program files.
Microsoft stated in a detailed document about this updated release: “The Office 2008 for Mac 12.0.1 Update contains several changes that improve security, stability, and performance. These changes include fixes for users of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, and include fixes for vulnerabilities that an attacker can use to overwrite the contents of a computer’s memory by using malicious code.”
