Microsoft Silverlight coming to mobile devices
Microsoft has said that they are now working on bringing their Silverlight platform to mobile devices sometime later this year.
For starters, the technology would be available on the Nokia Smartphones later this year.
The two companies announced this at the Microsoft’s Mix ‘08 conference. Microsoft said that they are developing Silverlight for the Nokia’s Series 60 (S60) Smartphone software which is based on the Symbian OS.
It would later be made available on their Series 40 devices and Nokia Internet tablets.
Microsoft said that they chose Nokia for their mobile Silverlight initiative considering they are the world’s leading mobile phone maker.
