Baidu Hi instant messaging service

Baidu.com is the dominating search engine service provider in the Chinese market.

The company has now announced their plans to launch an instant messaging service for their users.

This service has been named Baidu Hi which would compete with existing services in the market like Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Live Messenger, AIM and ICQ.

Baidu said that the elements of Baidu Hi including product design, research and testing will be handled independently by the company.
