PlateSpin acquired by Linux Company Novell
Novell has announced the acquisition of PlateSpin which is based in Toronto.
PlateSpin specializes in providing technologies which targets the disaster recovery potential of virtualization software.
The deal is worth around USD 205 million.
Stephen Pollack, founder and CEO of PlateSpin spoke about this acquisition deal: “We can work with XenSource, VMware and Microsoft’s Hyper-V hypervisors. We will continue to work with those companies.”
He added: “We will use the relationship that Novell already has in place to expand what we do with Microsoft.”
Novell had also recently acquired SiteScape which develops team collaboration software.
