Adobe releases AIR 1.0 and Flex 3 platforms
Software giant Adobe has announced the release of their AIR 1.0 and Flex 3 platforms.
The company said that these platforms provide tools, frameworks, services, servers and runtimes.
Both of these technologies are designed to provide developers capabilities to create rich Internet applications.
They combine the power of web with the desktop’s speed and ease of access.
The company added that the applications made through them can be run through Flash or through their Adobe Media Player.
Both of these technologies have a huge rival in the form of Microsoft Silverlight which is scheduled to hit version 2.
