Ubuntu Hardy Heron Alpha 5 released
The developers behind the Ubuntu Linux distribution have announced the release of Hardy Heron Alpha 5.
This is the fifth alpha release of this upcoming Ubuntu OS. They are scheduled to deliver the final product in April this year.
Ubuntu developers are suggesting avoiding installing this edition on a production machine. The release is meant for testers and developers.
This updated Ubuntu edition features the latest Xorg along with 2.6.24-8.14 (2.6.24.2-based) kernel.
It also ships with PulseAudio enabled by default. Firefox 2 has been replaced by the Firefox 3 Beta 3 edition.
Transmission replaces the Gnome BitTorrent downloader. They have also replaced the xvnc4viewer with Vinagre VNC client.
There are lots of other major changes in this edition of Ubuntu.
