MySpace is now open to third party developers
Online social networking giant MySpace has announced that their network is now open to third party developers.
The company showcased their Developer Platform Site which provides a sandbox for the developers to test out their applications.
MySpace chief executive Chris DeWolfe spoke about this new development: “The future of the global social Web will leverage the creativity of the masses to produce meaningful and diverse social experiences, pushing the industry to be more innovative and progressive. We are committed to lowering the barrier to entry for developers around the world to build a more collaborative and dynamic Internet, while empowering our members to take control of their online presence in new and exciting ways.”
MySpace added that they are planning to work along with the developers to create applications and check creations to ensure that they are safe for the web users.
