LiMo Foundation aims for March launch for Mobile Linux OS
The LiMo Foundation has announced that they are now aiming to launch their Linux software platform for mobile phones in March.
They are also expecting the mobile devices powered by this platform to arrive in the market in the coming months after that.
The foundation has been working on developing this platform to provide an open solution to mobile developers to offer a secure environment for downloadable applications.
They would begin by providing beta version of the software’s APIs today to enable third party developers to start coding for this platform.
They are going to face intense competition in this market by Android project which is supported by the search engine giant Google.
