Skyfire developing iPhone Safari like browser for Windows Mobile

A start-up company named Skyfire has showcased a new mobile web browser for Windows Mobile platform that works similar to how Safari works on the Apple iPhone.

They showcased this new product at the DEMO 08 conference.

The company said that the browser software currently in beta would make mobile browsing similar to desktop web browsing.

They claim that the browser would support advanced web technologies like Flash, Ajax or Java.

Skyfire CEO Nitin Bhandari spoke about this product: “For too long consumers have been promised the ‘real Web’ on their phone, only to be disappointed by slow rendering, error messages, no Flash support, watered-down WAP pages or second-rate mobile versions of their favorite site.”
