Microsoft allows virtualization of Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium
Microsoft has announced some good news for the Mac users as they would now be able to run Vista Home Basic and Vista Home Premium through virtualization.
Till now, they were only allowed to run the more expensive Business and Ultimate versions through the virtual machines on their Macs.
Microsoft group product manager Patrick O’Rourke had this to say on this new development: “Now is the right time, we believe, to make it easier for technical enthusiasts…to experience and see if virtualization is right for them.”
The company also announced their decision to acquire Calista Technologies which specializes in providing technology to improve the performance of remote desktops.
