Matthew Szulik steps down as the CEO of Red Hat

Linux company Red Hat has announced that their CEO Matthew Szulik is stepping down from his position in the company after nine years of leading the company.

He would now become the chairman of Red Hat’s board of directors.

Red Hat further said that Jim Whitehurst, former chief operating officer of Delta Air Lines would become their new president and CEO.

A company representative said: “Jim is a hands-on guy who will be a strong cultural fit at Red Hat.”

Szulik said that he was stepping down from the CEO position for personal reasons.
