IBM OmniFind Personal Email Search released

IBM has now made available their own Email search tool named IBM OmniFind Personal Email Search (IOPES).

This service is compatible with their Lotus Notes software and Microsoft Outlook.

IBM said that the service has been designed to enable users to search their mail based on concepts. Users are allowed to create their own concepts.

The software after installation starts indexing and analyzing the mails on the user’s machine. Search results are provided in a web browser window.

The company said that they have been working on this project since quite some time and they are looking for feedback from the users to further enhance it.

We would have liked it more if they had included support for Thunderbird… Outlook already has integrated search from Microsoft.
