Windows XP Service Pack 3 release candidate released for public

Microsoft has now made available the latest release candidate edition of their upcoming Service Pack 3 for Windows XP operating system.

This is a public release which means that anyone who wants to give it a try can download it from their website.

Recent reports have claimed that the SP3 improves the speed of the XP operating system and this release is likely to be embraced by the users of this operating system.

Directions on Microsoft analyst Michael Cherry spoke about this release: “Some people are commenting that SP3 makes XP faster than Vista, but I don’t think it’s appropriate to comment on a service pack candidate because service packs are about making the operating system more reliable. I’m not sure how you even benchmark something that isn’t final code.”
