Internet Explorer 8 Beta coming out next year
Microsoft would be releasing the beta editions of their next generation web browser edition IE8 by the middle of next year.
The developers behind the project are promising that this update would not break websites as the current edition did with the addition of support for newer web standards.
The company however did say that the Internet Explorer 8 edition would deliver advancements and enable Web developers, designers, and Internet Content Providers to develop across multiple platforms and versions. It would also help them to provide richer user experiences.
Dean Hachamovitch, the general manager for the Internet Explorer team added in a blog post about Internet Explorer 8: “With respect to standards and interoperability, our goal in developing Internet Explorer 8 is to support the right set of standards with excellent implementations and do so without breaking the existing web … We must deliver improved standards support and backwards compatibility so that IE8 continues to work with the billions of pages on the web today that already work in IE 6 and IE 7 and makes the development of the next billion pages, in an interoperable way, much easier.”
