IBM updates Tivoli Identity Manager

US based tech giant IBM has launched a new edition of the Tivoli Identity Manager. The application suite is in version 5.0 now.

The company said that this is the first major upgrade to this application in almost 2.5 years.

TIM is used by companies to manage user access rights and password information. The application suite helps them to automate new account setups.

IBM has taken special care in this release to speed up the deployment of the tool. They have added a range of guidelines, wizards, and templates in the latest edition.

Pricing for this new version starts at about $10,000 per company installation. It would essentially depend upon the number of users managed or on a per-processor basis.
