Microsoft delivers Office 2007 Service Pack 1
When we ran the Windows Update utility on the Vista machine today to get the latest updates, it was pretty surprising to see the size of the downloads.
It came to around 220 megs which is pretty steep for a Patch Tuesday update.
On checking the details, we realized that Microsoft has delivered Office 2007 Service Pack 1 in this release.
Microsoft has now stated that they have released this update one month ahead of its projected target.
The company said that with this update, the Office 2007 application suite would be easier to use and would crash less.
A Microsoft representative added: “We’re optimistic that with the shipment of SP1 we’re removing any residual barriers that may have impeded deployment and that adoption will only accelerate.”
