Yahoo! Messenger for Vista Preview released

Yahoo! has finally released the first preview edition of their upcoming Yahoo Messenger application for the Windows Vista platform.

In our opinion, it is pretty disappointing. We expected more from the company and they have just given us a new UI with complicated controls.

Anyways, it is a beginning and we are yet to see what more they have in plan for this special edition Yahoo Messenger. This preview edition is pretty sluggish on a Core 2 Duo machine with 4 GB RAM… Let’s hope the future editions perform better.

Overall, it makes little sense to make this special edition for just the Vista users. The company would do good if they start working on the Linux edition of Yahoo Messenger.
