Flickr all set to add image editing tools
Yahoo is all set to add some new exciting and much needed features to their photo sharing service Flickr.
These new features would enable users to edit images hosted on the service using their web browsers itself.
Flickr is collaborating with Picnik Inc. to provide these services to their members.
Kakul Srivastava, Flickr’s senior director of product management spoke on these developments: “We think this is going to be very attractive to mainstream users.”
Flickr is one of the most popular image hosting services online though they provided no image editing facility till now. Image rotation was the only thing users can do online through Flickr.
Jonathan Sposato, Picnik’s CEO added: “When they are using Picnik, people get the feeling that they are never more than one click away from being a rock-star photographer.”
