Richland, Washington - December 3, 2007 - The December issue of macCompanion Magazine is now available online. This free PDF download is around 134 pages, including articles from leading reviewers.

Most of the staff at macCompanion magazine upgraded to Leopard already and have noticed a few more issues with the operating system. They wrote about their various experiences for the enlightenment of macCompanion readership and the consternation for those who use alternate operating systems and computer platforms.

Robert Pritchett wrote about “unfinished business in his “Letter from the CEO”.

Jonathan Hoyle examined workarounds of using 3 apps to run Classic programs under Leopard - SheepShaver, Basilisk and Mini vMac.

Hary Babad provided another list of Mac Tips he has gathered from around the Macosphere.

Gene Steinberg’s offered his Leopard report about “Your problem isn’t my problem”.

Tim Verpoorten presented his views on podcasting in both the past and in the future.

Leland Scott offers his report on 3rd-Party Mac OS X system enhancements such as Application Enhancers and Simplified Input Manager bundles and how well they work with Leopard.

Rick Sutcliffe delights us with a litany of Case Files in his Northern Spy column.

Harry Babad wrote on Shareware apps and system upgrade issues in his Rants, Raves and Revelations column.

The 2nd article by Ed Prasek has been posted from his “SpinTips” site - this time on “Distribution and Retail for the Mac Software Developer”.

Steven Fyffe readjusted his Paradigm Parasol and looked at Spaces in Leopard.

Ted Bade wants an OS that just works as he discussed his experiences with Leopard and his desires for improvements and enhancements for polishing and preening Leopard.

There are 6 more book reviews on GIMP, Photography, cross-platform hacks and of course a couple on Leopard. In Hardware, there are a couple of reviews on speaker systems from Miglia and Gear4 and external hard drives from SimpleTech and Protective laptop covers from Techshell. And macCompanion finished up with some software reviews of Popcorn3, Posterino (a custom poster program) and the latest pzizz app for tackling sleep deprivation.

The PDFed version of macCompanion for December has the 2007 Index itemized by Book, Game, hardware and Software reviews as another way to look at the online archives and it was prepared by Wayne Lefevre. Cover art was designed by Michele Patterson.
