Yahoo Widgets now support HTML and Flash

Yahoo seems to be under pressure from Google Gadgets with their Widgets product.

The company has now launched a new edition of Yahoo Widgets which support HTML and Flash components.

Yahoo is hoping that this would simplify Widget creation for developers.

The company has also now made it easier for web users to download Widgets from third party sites by making available a new in-page installer.

They are also now letting users to rate the Widgets on their website.

Yahoo Widgets are compatible with Windows and Mac OS X platform.
