Google Maps now allow for user inputs
Google is now opening their Google Maps service to allow inputs from their users.
This means that web users can submit corrections to the service to help them enhance the quality of the service for all.
Google said in a statement on this new development: “Sometimes a location can be a little off on a map and your friends can’t find you. Now you can fix that.”
The company added that they would prevent malicious users from messing up with this service by restricting changes to certain listings, like hospitals, police stations and schools.
Users would also not be able to change settings related to businesses who have manually submitted their data on the service.
Major edits would require approval from Google moderators.
