Apple worried that Boot Camp could result in few new Mac Applications
Apple has somewhat admitted that they are afraid that the Boot Camp application could result in a situation where developers stop caring for the Mac platform as they would know that the Mac users can run their applications on the Windows operating system using Boot Camp.
Apple said in a report to their investors that the application may deter developers from creating software applications for Mac OS X if such applications are already available for the Windows platform.
Apple Boot Camp application enables the owner of an Intel processor powered Mac computer to dual boot with Windows operating system.
Apple further stated in the report: “The company believes decisions by customers to purchase the company’s hardware products are often based on the availability of third-party application software.”
