JAMF Software annouces the launch of Casper Suite version 5.1. Casper Suite 5.1 is now equipped with the increased ability to create an Adobe Installer. The Casper Suite is designed to provide client management solutions in the Macintosh environment. Minneapolis-based JAMF Software announces the launch of Casper Suite version 5.1. Casper Suite 5.1 is now equipped with the increased ability to create an Adobe Installer.

The Casper Suite is designed to provide client management solutions in the Macintosh environment. It is a great fit for both the commercial and educational organizations dealing with compliance and policy issues, customized workstations, mobile users and frequent upgrades.

Version 5.1 allows administrators to deploy the Adobe Creative Suite using Adobe’s installation technologies. Using the Casper Admin, you can create Adobe Installations and deploy them like any other package eliminating the need to repackage the Creative Suite.

Casper Suite 5.1 is Mac OS X version 10.5 compatible and is a direct result of working closely with Apple, Adobe and JAMF’s current customers to meet the specific needs that have arisen from the release of Adobe CS3 and Leopard.

JAMF partner Chip Pearson states, “Our development team continues to keep pace with emerging challenges faced by system administrators. The support systems developed within version 5.1 for both Leopard and Adobe Creative Suite 3 are examples of the high standards they set for themselves.”

As in Casper Suite version 5.0, version 5.1 continues to make license and security compliance easier for IT managers by providing improved frameworks for audits and ongoing reporting that can define suites of software and store license, registration and purchasing information. The system can provide up-to-the-minute reports and notify the administrator if the organization falls out of compliance.

JAMF Software is outmaneuvering the competition by balancing the creative with the technical. “My business partner and I both worked on Macs and PCs and saw that the tools in the PC world didn’t exist for Macs,” Pearson says. Those tools now exist, and JAMF Software brings them to the marketplace.
