Apple Final Cut Express 4 launched
Apple Operating Systems, Graphics and Video, Mac OS X November 16th, 2007
Apple has announced the launch of their Final Cut Express 4 application. This latest edition comes loaded with several new high end features.
They have also cut the cost of the package to almost half of the previous edition.
The company claimed that this update is so significant that it has features which the users would typically expect to see in PRO edition of the software.
One of the new features added is the Open Format Timeline. This feature would allow the users to mix and match DV, HDV and AVCHD material in realtime.
It also comes with LiveType 2 enabling creation of dynamic animated titles.
Apple has added new effects like Soft Focus, Vignette and Light Rays. A company representative added: “The whole purpose for us is to broaden the use of Final Cut across as many segments of the market as possible. Currently, we are just under 1 million Final Cut systems worldwide.”
