Apple Leopard

Apple has now launched their Mac OS X Leopard operating system in the Indian market. This new operating system from the iPod maker was launched in the US market just a couple of weeks ago.

Mac OS X Leopard edition is being sold in India at Rs 6,200 for the single-user version and at Rs 9,660 in a five-user family pack.

It is a rival to the Microsoft Vista operating system but would only work on their Mac range of computers.

Darren Sng, senior product marketing manager, Apple spoke on the launch: “We have packed more than 300 new features into the leopard. We believe that our philosophy of keeping things simple and user friendly would help us when it comes to competition.”

Apple in addition also launched their Mac OS X Server Leopard. It is being sold for Rs 23,000 for a ten-client edition and at Rs 46,200 for the unlimited client version.
