New MSN Toolbar Suite to bring Tabbed Browsing to Internet Explorer

It is no news that Microsoft is planning to seriously bring some changes to its aging browser Internet Explorer. And one of the changes expected is the addition of tabbed browsing. Now, the concept of tabbed browsing is actually not new with Opera, Internet Explorer Clones, and Firefox already pioneering the functionality since quite sometime. However, for pure Internet Explorer users, it might bring some refreshing change.

The latest news in is that the tech site Neowin has reported that the company is working on updating its MSN Toolbar Suite for the browser and the windows operating system. And this update is expected to include an implementation of tabbed browsing allowing users of Internet Explorer version 6 without Windows XP SP2 to benefit from tabbed browsing functionality.

Microsoft is also working on the next version of their browser, which is expected to release into the beta stage this summer with various improvements. Some of the enhancements expected to arrive with this version are tabbed browsing, integrated MSN Search, and a RSS aggregator. The issue with IE 7 is that the company will not be releasing a version for operating systems prior to Windows XP SP2. Thus, this enhanced toolbar suite would bring some relief to the users of the IE Browser in the older Operating Systems.

For users who do not want either, there are already alternative solutions in the form of Opera and Mozilla Firefox.
