Microsoft Windows Essential Business Server to arrive late next year
Microsoft has announced a new software bundle named Windows Essential Business Server.
They aim to release a second beta by year-end and would launch the first edition late next year.
This Microsoft software bundle would include Windows Server 2008, Exchange Server 2007, Forefront Security for Exchange, System Center Essentials and the next version of ISA Server in the Standard Edition.
Their would be a premier edition which would also include SQL Server 2008.
Microsoft said that all of these packages would be supplied as part of a single 64-bit only server package.
Russ Madlener, director of product planning for the Windows Server solutions group spoke about this new package announcement: “As the software-plus-services model evolves and as the core products of Windows Essential Business Server have service offerings we will look at including them.”
