Microsoft expecting demand for Windows Vista to shoot up
Software giant Microsoft has said that they are now pretty optimistic about Vista and are hoping that it would sell in large numbers during the upcoming holiday season.
Kevin Johnson, president of Microsoft’s platform and services group said in a statement: “We feel like we are starting to hit our stride not only in demand, but in deployment in business.”
Microsoft managed to surprise the market by announcing a strong result despite struggling to sell the Vista OS to customers.
A lot of PC manufacturers are still providing the users an option to pick Windows XP instead of Vista with their new machines.
The upcoming release of the Service Pack 1 of Vista OS is also likely to enhance consumer confidence in this product.
