Vmware looking for growth in China
Vmware is one of the major players in the virtualization software industry and they are now looking at the Chinese market for growth.
The company has already established a 35-person research and development team in Beijing and they now plan to expand it to 350 by 2009.
Diane Greene, chief executive said in a statement on their plans for the Chinese market: “We look to China for a host of reasons. China is a vast country with a lot of IT infrastructure.”
Vmware already controls over two thirds of the market for virtualization software.
The technology allow system administrators to run several operating systems on a single installation.
Vmware claims that their products are of immense use to any corporation and enables them to use their IT infrastructure more efficiently.
