Google Gmail now providing free IMAP support
Search engine giant Google has finally delivered one most wanted wish for their Gmail webmail service.
They are now providing IMAP support for Gmail and it is being provided free of cost.
Gmail incidentally already support free POP to enable the user to keep a downloaded database of emails offline.
With IMAP support, it would become easier for users to access their emails from multiple devices.
Google has announced support for IMAP for Gmail for a lot of devices including Apple iPhone.
The support is being added in a phased manner and it should be available to all members in the coming weeks.
