Turbolinux and Microsoft considering working together
Microsoft and Turbolinux are apparently in talks for a potential agreement to work on a single sign-on system for both the operating systems.
The two companies could get into a patent cross-licensing deal and agreement.
Noriko Otake, a spokeswoman for Turbolinux in Tokyo said in a statement that a possible deal between the two companies can result in a situation where Windows and Turbolinux machines on a mixed network could access a common authentication database.
Turbolinux could also reciprocate to Microsoft by adding Microsoft’s Live Search service to its desktop operating system.
Turbolinux has already said that they are now going to participate in the Interoperability Vendor Alliance.
