Adobe planning to offer all their products through Web
Software company Adobe has said that they expect all of their applications to be delivered through the web.
However, this transition might take around 10 years. Currently, people prefer to use standalone applications rather than web based apps for most tasks.
Adobe believes that the improvement in technology would enable them to deliver their technologies through the Web as a service in the coming years.
Adobe Chief Executive Bruce Chizen spoke about this initiative: “The desktop is a powerful, powerful machine in which to run applications. Broadband, as quick as it gets, is still going to have some limitations in the short term.”
Microsoft and Google are two companies which are increasingly providing more web based services.
Adobe too has made a start and is now offering basic versions of their applications which can be used through a web browser.
