Symbian scheduled to get enhanced networking capabilities and new graphic architecture
Symbian CEO Nigel Clifford said in a statement that they are working on addition some major new enhancements in the next Symbian OS release for mobiles.
Symbian OS is scheduled to get a new graphics architecture as well as enhanced networking capabilities.
This graphic acceleration technology is named ScreenPlay and the company claims that it would not increase the power consumption of the device.
It is also capable of delivering high-definition video, gaming, and animated interfaces.
The company added that these features would however rely on Nokia and UIQ Technology who develops the front end UI for the OS. They would have the power to take advantages of this new core technology in the OS.
