Google Urchin 6.0 enters private beta testing
Search engine giant Google has finally confirmed that they are continuing the development work on the Urchin software technology which they acquired some years back.
Ever since the acquisition, Google has been concentrating on the Urchin’s hosted software-as-a-service (SAAS) version.
The latest updated edition of Urchin was version 5.7 and it has not been updated since 2005.
Google has now announced that the version 6 of Urchin software is entering a closed beta testing program.
For the testing they would be inviting some of the existing customers of this product.
Google also announced new pricing model for this software product. Unlike the previous licenses, they would now offer a single product priced at $2,995.
Google further said that they would offer Version 6.0 free to any customer who bought a support contract for version 5.0.
