Google Desktop for Linux 1.1 Beta released
Google has now updated their Google Desktop application for the Linux platform. This application is a desktop searching utility which helps the user find files on his computer.
The search engine giant had previously released the first edition of this software in June this year.
The latest version is now Google Desktop for Linux 1.1 Beta and it comes loaded with enhancements asked by the users of the application.
Google added that the utility can be used to search for and launching applications on Linux platform.
It now also support many more image formats and would display better thumbnails in search results. It also supports MS Office file formats for searching now. Great for users who are dual booting between Linux and Windows.
