AIM Tunes: AOL AIM 6.5 allows for music sharing!
AOL has announced the availability of their updated instant messaging application AIM 6.5.
This new release comes loaded with a new plugin which enables a user to listen to songs on a friend’s playlist.
The plugin is named AIM Tunes and it does not require a separate music application to deliver music through the computer.
They have designed it in such a way that DRM protected songs would not be shared with other people.
Marcien Jenckes, AOL’s general manager for messaging and social media spoke on this new release: “We continue to provide our users with the tools that make it easy for them to connect and share their lives with their social circles in real-time wherever they may be. As social media booms, we’re introducing even more ways to help our users connect.”
