Apple releases Battery Update 1.3 for MacBook Pro

Apple has released the Battery Update 1.3 firmware update for the users of their 15-inch MacBook Pro.

The company said in the advisory that this updated release addresses battery performance issues with the notebook model.

The update requires the notebook to be connected to power cord while it is being installed.

Apple added that after the installation of this update, any batteries added in the future would be automatically updated as well.

The update is applicable to following MacBook Pro models:
MacBook Pro (15-inch)
MacBook Pro (15-inch Glossy)
MacBook Pro (15-inch Core 2 Duo)
MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.4/2.2GHz)
