Windows XP to be available on sale till June 2008

Software giant Microsoft has finally given some hints that they are indeed struggling to entice customers to move on to Vista OS.

The latest news from the company is that they are now going to continue selling the Windows XP operating system till June 2008.

This means that the company is now extending the sale of XP for another 5 months. Microsoft said that they took decision on demands made by the personal computers makers around the world.

Mike Nash, a Microsoft corporate vice president added in a statement: “We were a little ambitious to think that we would need to make Windows XP available for only a year after the release of Windows Vista.”

The company further said that top 50 consumer software applications now have a Vista-compatible versions available in the market.
