VMware Fusion 1.1 beta adds support for DirectX 9.0
VMware has released the beta of their Fusion 1.1 application which features experimental support for DirectX 9.
This capability is much desired by the gamers especially considering it would enable them to run games in a virtual installation.
The software is for Intel microprocessor powered Mac computers. The support for DirectX 9 currently work without 3D shader support.
This means that the games which require DirectX 9.0a, 9.0b or 9.0c shaders are not supported yet. The company has also improved the Unity technology in this beta.
VMware added that the beta also comes with improved support for Mac OS X Leopard.
