Windows Vista Service Pack 1 beta released to limited group
Microsoft has apparently shipped the first beta of their Service Pack 1 for the Windows Vista operating system to a limited group of people.
This means that the Vista SP1 is now one step closer to its release sometime early next year.
Some testers have posted some details on the updates from this beta pack. They have reported improvements to the overall responsiveness of the operating system after installing this beta.
Sources say that the beta fixes wireless networking issues as well. Microsoft would be delivering this beta when released through their Windows Update mechanism. System administrators would also have the option to install it manually using a standalone version of SP1.
Microsoft has also delivered Release Candidate (RC0) of Windows Server 2008.
