IMT: Movable Type now Apple iPhone friendly
Six Apart has announced a new plugin for their Movable Type CMS system which makes the application Apple iPhone friendly.
This new plugin is open sourced and allows the users to mobile blog on their MT powered blogs using iPhone and iPod Touch.
This new plugin has been named iMT and it comes loaded with an alternate template which is suited to the iPhone browsing style.
The iPhone connects to the net using AT&T network and it also works with a Wi-Fi connection. The iPod Touch uses Wi-Fi to access the internet.
Six Apart has also announced that their TypePad hosted blogging service is also now Apple iPhone friendly. It already supports other mobile operating systems including Palm OS, Windows Mobile, and Symbian.
Six Apart added in its statement: “Using TypePad on the iPhone is the best blogging experience for mobile devices thanks to its tap-based interface and custom integration with built-in iPhone functionality. Blogs published through TypePad look great on the iPhone as well, thanks to our standards-based publishing engine and gorgeous designs.”
