Nokia updates their mobile mapping application
World’s largest mobile phone maker Nokia has now updated their mobile mapping application.
The company has added some new features to this application. It now sports a revamped user interface and a status indicator to alert users when they’re connected to a GPS satellite.
Nokia Maps is free and is now available for download. Nokia said that it also come with a more refined “nearby” search feature.
Nokia is providing basic navigation services for free. Though some other navigation upgrades are available for a fee.
The company also charges for a voice-guided navigation feature as well as other city and travel guides.
Nokia added in a statement that they plan to make available map data for 150 countries by the end of 2007.
