Microsoft does a Google Pack with their Windows Live services
Microsoft has now launched a Google Pack like application package filled with their Live services.
The company is trying to integrate their Live services with their operating systems XP and Vista with this new product launch.
Microsoft said in a statement that the unified installer for Windows Live services will help users download their applications like photo-sharing, mail, instant messaging, online safety, and other services.
Chris Jones, vice president of the Windows Live team added in a blog post: “This new suite of applications is a new way that we can make connecting, communicating, and sharing anywhere a terrific experience on your Windows PC. Together with our Web services, we have a complete suite that combines the best of the Web and the best of Windows and works the way you want.”
Interestingly, this is similar to how Google Pack works. Google offers a unified software installer which comes with their own applications along with several third party tools.
